I've noticed this trend. K and I joined Gold's gym last week. My mother belongs to a gym (bless her heart--the junk food queen) and has become a gym rat. The kickboxing class I belong to has doubled in size since I joined. And yet the Bush administration doesn't want to stand behind the recommendations of their report on obese kids because it might offend the food industry. Supersize this, assholes.
I had a dream I was graduating from my undergraduate college. I had won the Australian Open (tennis) earlier that semester so there were many reporters there "following up" on my accomplishment and asking whether I would try and qualify for Wimbledon. Anyway, for some reason, it was the last day, and my roommate and I still hadn't packed. We were throwing shit out left and right. The items were very detailed---cassettes, foreign coins, necklaces, a multiple-choice psychics/economics final. I promised my roommate I would pack her realistic cat collection and give it back to her later.
Usually I dream about still being in college. I guess this is some sort of subconscious acceptance that I need to sort out my "things" (and perhaps some friends and acquaintances) and move on---it's getting "late"r in life and I can't take everything with me in the next phase, whatever phase that is.
