Weirdest Dream Yet

I was hanging out with a friend from my old job (before I went solo). She wanted us to work together on two grad school projects, although she had already decided on the topics: trolls in the exotic dancing business, and the life of third-rate country crooners who play in Baltimore bars but sound more like Steely Dan than Travis Tritt (that last bit was purely observational).

I was having trouble defining what inner-city trolls were.

"Are they midgets?" I asked. "Do they live in the subway?"

We walked to a bar on the block via the Inner Harbor. A heavyset black woman, very Dickensian, was preparing to jump into the harbor, a presumed suicide. She tipped over into the harbor, and we both pulled out our cell phones to call 911. Then we realized that the water at this end was quite shallow and that she was just washing her horse.

We went undercover as country musicians at some dive. I tuned up my guitar but my chords were very dissonant compared with what was playing through the speakers.

We had a week to get both projects finished. I had just moved. There was a picture of me and my grandmother that keep falling out of its frame. My hair was short and even though I was smiling, it looked like I was frowning.

I needed to call work to tell them I was going to be late. I couldn't remember who my boss was. I remembered that I was my own boss. Something happened. I needed to call work if I wasn't going to go in that day. Who should I call? Then I remembered that I worked for myself.

Weirdness.

Healing Energy

I had my first Reiki session on Saturday, or energy healing. Basically, an energy healer aligns your energy, clears your chakras, helps to remove old hurts and negative forces, and strengthens your aura.

She told me that I was essentially a sponge for other people's pain and that although much of the old hurt was mine that most of the new layers of pain were other people's pain that I had absorbed, not my own.

She suggested I imagine a circle of white light around my body to protect myself from other people and their energies. She was amazed that I had been carrying around so much for so long and wasn't any worse for the wear.

I feel more in tune with my body. I can totally feel how certain chakras in my heart and abdomen feel heavy and full. I try and visualize the bad energies being sucked out of my body, but they still feel heavy and full.

My stomach was been upset since my appointment. I felt great afterward except for a mild stomach upset that was grown since then (can't stomach what has been revealed?)
