It Takes a Crappy Browser to Hold Me Back

I am currently posting using Internet Explorer until Blogspot can figure out why their new editor doesn't work with Netscape. I think it's a conspiracy by Bill Gates to dominate my mind. Well, you know what, Mr Gates? It ain't happening. Even though I use all your friggin' software, I wouldn't line my birdcage with your user manuals. So there.

So what has happened in the week-plus I've waited patiently to return to cyberspace? Well, we went to Artscape and watched a demonstration on Kunqu, a type of Chinese opera. Our lecturer, resident makeup and costume artist, and member of the Montgomery County Kunqu Association was Grace, a small, diminutive Chinese woman whose English was curt but broken. As she moved about the raised stage (about a foot off the ground), gluing human hair to the brave opera singer's head, she suddenly fell off the and disappeared through the side of the tent. My party and I suppressed the urge to laugh, as we so often cruelly do at other's misfortunes (and they at ours, I suppose), when Grace, all grace, shot up back onstage with a smile.

"You need tell me about that," she admonished the moderator on the sucky stage setup.

Grace had what looked to be an ankle wrap under one of her sandals, so I can't say this was the first time she fell off stage. And that was the highlight of Artscape, unless you count my funnel cake.

I've been meaning to talk about blood types. I swear I'll get to it. Swear on my life, dammit.

Oh, and Maggie's date! Goblin is a rather dashing suitor, full of energy and spunk and vitality and all those other things Maggie lost about ten years ago. After a harrowing greeting, there were some stolen sniffs here and there, but Maggie mostly walked track laps around David and Rob's living room, plotting her escape. Resigned to her fate, she clumsily fell asleep in the middle of the floor. Goblin took her toy, layed down next to our little pooper, and kept her company. Isn't that sweet! In the interum, David offered to play us an Indigo Girls song on his guitar, the only song he knows thus far, but I think we will wait until he can play Stairway to Heaven.

What will our little Harold and Maude do next? Only David and I know for sure, and we don't know, really. I guess we're all in suspense. Any ideas?

I suggest Mozilla as a browser and an alternative to evil Internet Explorer (which is proving not to be working so well security-wise, either, these days). So yeah, I've been using Mozilla with Blogger and it's been working quite well...
