Turning It Up a Notch
I just made some gazpacho--what's better than fresh gazpacho in the summer? I am not a neat, orderly cook in any form--there is always a mess of skins, seeds, rotted parts, and juices littering the butcher's block, a stain on my shirt, and juice dripping down the side of the food processor, but I get the job done. You will also find tomatoes that have been imperfectly peeled (I have no patience for boiling and cooling them) and some seeds--tomato and pepper--in the soup, but it has been made with the love and care that I reserve for all things (except for my last batch of oat bran muffins.)
